This program was created in response to the AIDS endemic that is robbing African youth of their future. The massive AIDS infection rate in Africa has left a parental void in many homes.  Youth are without parents or familial guidance therefore we have designed a program, which helps to provide guidance for these youth.  Growing through the teen years into adulthood is not an easy thing in today’s culture.  Every day these youth, like American youth, are faced with decisions and temptations such as pre-marital sex, drugs, alcohol, pornography, and they need a Christian mentor speaking into their lives, encouraging them and steering them in the right direction.

How the program works is that youth leaders are prayerfully selected, trained, and raised up to teach, instruct, guide, and counsel youth on a weekly basis.  These youth leaders/mentors are assigned to a school where they utilize Living Water’s curriculum to reach the youth.

Here’s what some of the youth are saying about Walk Pure:

“I learned that I am valuable and precious, so I should respect myself and walk pure till God’s best timing, which is in marriage.” – Grace Kyomuhendo

“It’s really easy now, since the walk pure manual has been taught, to administer the students. Their behavior has positively changed and they are cooperative.” – Ronald Kiwawu, Principal of Contintental Whiteland College

“I had a problem with lust and gave into sexual urges and slept around with boys. But after Walk Pure teachings, I learned how to control these sexual feelings and I have decided I will no longer give into sexual temptations, but I will control my sex drive as you have taught me.” – Shakirah Mamganda

One girl was asked how her Revolution mentor has impacted her life. Her response: “She is my role model. If at all she is managing to wait for sex till marriage, why can’t I!” – Daphne
